January 12 - museum and churches

You will see from the first picture what our breakfast accommodations look like. We left the hotel at 9:30 for our visit to the Academia Museum right around the corner. We saw many great works by Venetian artists who were more interested in color than drawing as the Florence artists had been. After nearly 3 hours looking and discussing art we broke for gelato and lunch.
