After gelato, we all broke for lunch and a bit of a rest. The sun had come out and Venice was glowing. At 4 pm we resumed our studies going to the beautiful Renaissance Church - Santa Marie Dei Miracoli - with it's multi colored use of marble and completely different architecture than San Marco. When I say going, we had to briskly walk to this church as it closed before 5 and we needed to arrive prior to closing.
