We crossed the Arno River by way of the Ponte Vecchio and then headed along the river toward our meeting point and then proceeded to the Ivory Restorers. Ms. Bettina Schindler entertained and educated the Chapman students giving them hands on experience. You can see examples of her work in the book, IVORY: techniques and materials. Afterward we recrossed the Arno via Ponte alle Grazie and walked home in the Florentine twilight.
This is Madeline's mom. Thanks so much for sharing this adventure with us. Your pictures are amazing, and I'm not just talking about the one of Madeline. She is having the time of her life. What a great opportunity.
