As you can see from the pictures even when it is cold and damp Venice has a certain charm. Occasionally even the blogger and his family make it into the pictures. As I was saying in the previous post the students visited the Guggenheim Museum and had a pre-test of sorts to help them prepare for the mid-term - they had to write a one page paper discussing the "period eye" of the more modern pieces here versus what they have been studying for the last 10 days or so. The Museum has a court yard with sculpture and pictures are allowed there. Then it was off to visit the glass artist.
